Build and maintain a price list

1Choose or create the correct list

Open Pricing and review the list name, default status, dates and quote count. Create opens a new-list form with a name, effective date and default option. Making a list the default replaces the previous default for new standalone quotes. Export downloads the list-page summary; it is not a full vendor catalog export.

2Understand editing and saving

Open the list and choose Edit Price List. Settings holds its header defaults. Many inline prices and switches save immediately or when you leave the input. Save Changes also saves the header and offers a revision note. Cancel leaves editing mode; it is not an undo for every inline change already saved.

3Add and maintain materials

Under Materials, choose Add Material. Enter the material line, types, default slab dimensions in inches, and pricing method. The default price input is dollars per square foot even when Per Slab is selected; the form shows the slab-cost calculation. Check the displayed unit.

In Details, review the pricing-method badge, dimensions, supplier link, Allow Other Color, Allow Discount and Editable Price on Quote. Material identity is shared with inventory, so consider that use when renaming, deactivating or removing a real material.

4Add colors, thicknesses and finishes

Add Colors accepts one name per line. Switch between A–Z and Group to organize the table. Review color-specific dimensions and prices.

Add Thickness applies to selected colors, or all colors when none are selected. Check the label, physical inches, finish, slab size and starting price where offered. Existing matching thickness-and-finish entries are skipped. Inspect the resulting rows; these choices appear in the quote’s Materials & Slabs step.

5Assign price groups and price levels

Add Price Groups creates common tiers. Click a group’s color-count button to open Assign Colors, select the colors and save. Set the group’s rate or thickness prices as required. Color and thickness overrides can take priority over a group fallback.

Pricing Structure under Materials contains Retail and additional named levels. Read How markups work: 20% markup on a cost of $100 gives $120, not a 20% margin. Add a level when needed and review material and color overrides. The quote’s Material Price Level chooses the applicable structure.

6Review vendor imports before applying them

Import Price List accepts supported vendor files and images. Select or create the intended material and review type, units and slab size before extraction. Inspect extracted color names, thicknesses, costs and groups. Review the choices for colors missing from the new catalog; keep, flag and remove have different effects. Apply only after checking the review table.

7Set fabrication and installation defaults

Open Fabrication & Installation and set the separate default rates. Review the labor pricing structure, Enabled, minimum charges, Hide On Quote, Allow Discount and Editable Price on Quote. Hiding a line does not make the work free. The quote has a separate Labor Pricing Level, which can follow the material level.

8Add material-and-thickness exceptions

Choose Add Specific Material Price for fabrication or installation. Select material types. All thicknesses includes every thickness; clear it and choose specific sizes for a restricted rule. Enter the price and add it. Use the row’s scope editor to revise the materials and thicknesses. Test a matching area and a different thickness that should use the fallback.

9Price special pieces and backsplash

Special Fab / Install Rates holds named piece definitions such as full-height backsplash or shower walls. Add a definition, set its fabrication and installation rates, and select that definition for applicable quote pieces. Creating it alone does not change every counter.

Splash has its own entries and rates. Check the displayed unit, name, height and quote-editing options. Drawing height describes the piece; the rule determines its charge.

10Configure finished and appliance edges

Finished Edges contains named profiles, images and linear-foot rates. Choose the default profile for new areas; existing area selections are retained. All Materials supplies the fallback, and material-type tabs can override individual profiles.

Appliance Edges has separate linear-foot pricing. Apply the corresponding drawing edge type and verify its quantity. A cooktop opening is separate from an appliance edge.

11Review miter, waterfall and return charges

In Mitered Edges & Waterfalls, review Mitered Edge Material and Mitered Cuts separately. The drawing’s strip height affects geometry and material quantity. Check All Materials fallbacks and any material overrides.

Waterfall Installation Charge offers per-waterfall and per-square-foot billing. Overhang Returns has its own billing choices, including per return and area-based charges where shown. Select the intended method and verify known quantities on a quote.

12Set corner and curve ranges

Curves & Bumpouts groups outside radius, clipped, bumped-out and inside-radius treatments. Add Range creates size tiers with per-corner prices. Check dimensions, overlaps, gaps and tier boundaries, then test the resulting charge on representative corners.

13Build the cutout catalog and its prices

In Cutouts, choose Sink Cutouts, Faucet Hole, Cooktop Cutouts, Outlet Cutouts or Other Cutouts. Add Cutout creates a named shortcut with the category’s type and dimensions. Expand the shortcut to add material-specific or default prices.

A shortcut describes the opening, not the supplied fixture. Older lists can also have range-based fallback rules. Check the chosen catalog option and resulting line on a quote.

14Maintain supplied fixtures

Sinks & Plumbing Fixtures contains physical products. Add Brand starts a group. Rename the initial product, choose its type and enter the displayed price-level amounts. Link a supplier where appropriate. Add Fixture accepts one product name per line; Import PDF offers a separate import flow.

Keep the supplied sink or faucet price separate from the fabrication cutout charge. Verify both when the quote includes both product and opening.

15Add priced other items and reusable text

In Text / Other Items, Add Item creates a priced service. Bills By chooses each, square feet or linear feet. Additional pricing rules can narrow when an amount applies; inspect their conditions.

Text items stores reusable statements with no price or quantity. Add one and save its wording. On a quote, use the area’s Add Item control to select it. This is a standalone text line; the chat bubble beside an existing charge adds an indented subnote instead.

16Document and verify the revision

Choose Save Changes and add a useful revision note. Reopen values to confirm they saved. Change Log records changes to the list and related pricing records. A revision identifies the version used when pricing; it does not automatically rewrite older quotes.

On a practice quote, select this list and review material, color, thickness and price levels. Check matching exceptions and fallbacks, units, minimums, cutouts, fixtures and reusable items. Quote-specific price or tax overrides remain separate from price-list changes.
