For new users and shop administrators. These steps describe the signed-in app; watching the videos here does not require an account.
1. Check your shop setup
Open Setup Guide from the sidebar and review the tasks for your shop. Open Settings → Company to check the business contact details, time zone and locations. A location is a shop or branch; a warehouse and rack describe storage within it.
2. Review defaults, branding and documents
In Defaults, check measurement and distance units, currency, tax rate and label, and 12-hour or 24-hour Clock Display. Time zone is a separate setting. Default Folders uses one path per line and a slash for subfolders; use Save Default Folders after editing.
Review Branding and Settings → Templates. Templates define the quote, contract and other document layouts. Preview a representative saved quote after changing a template.
3. Prepare the intended price list
Open Pricing and inspect the active list for this customer or market. Review materials, colors, thicknesses, fabrication, installation, edges, cutouts and other items. Check whether material bills per slab or per square foot. Article 2 explains the detailed controls.
4. Create the customer account
In Accounts, choose Create. Enter the account name and type, contact details and address. Nest under another account creates a sub-account relationship. Set the intended salesperson and price-list defaults, then create the account. A customer can have a billing address that differs from a project site.
5. Create the quote
In Quotes, choose Create. In Create New Quote, enter a descriptive name, search for the account and select its result. Standalone is a separate option when no account is intended. Add this quote to an existing job links additional quoted work to that job. Select the price list and save.
Review the quote detail information, including the project address and any required fields configured by your shop. Open Drawing & Pricing, then Edit Quote to enter the countertop editor.
6. Draw and dimension the counter
In Draw & Apply Edges, drag on empty canvas to create a run; change direction while holding the mouse button to add a return. Release to finish. Click dimension labels to enter measured lengths and depths. Quick Shapes adds presets, Refocus brings the drawing into view, and Undo reverses a change. Article 5 covers the full drawing toolset.
7. Apply edges, corners and cutouts
Click a boundary to set its edge treatment and any required height. Corners & Curves provides corner and edge modifications. Check the resulting outline and dimensions.
In Cutouts, click inside the parent counter and choose the opening from the catalog. Click the placed cutout and use Properties to inspect dimensions, shape, faucet holes and other options for that type. A supplied sink or faucet is separate from the fabrication work of making its opening.
8. Assign areas, materials and slab layouts
In Materials & Slabs, group counters into areas that share a material, color, thickness and finished-edge profile. Choose the product and color, then an available thickness and profile. Confirm the correct counters belong to each area.
Expand Slabs & Layout to inspect slab dimensions and piece placement. Review fit, overlaps and seams. Slab-piece rotation affects the material layout, not the room arrangement. Color Options provides alternate selections; verify the lead option before preparing the customer document.
9. Check pricing and add explanations
In Summary & Pricing, review material and labor price levels, payment terms and tax. Check each area’s quantities, units, rates, minimums and total. An amount per slab, per square foot and per linear foot represents different work.
Use an area’s Add Item control for a priced item or plain text statement. The chat bubble beside a line adds an indented subnote. Permitted quote-level rate and tax overrides belong to that quote; they do not edit the price list.
10. Save and inspect the actual PDF
Open Save. Save & Continue keeps the editor open; Save & Exit returns to the saved quote. Add a revision note when useful or skip the note and save. Reopen the saved information and check the result.
Check Quote Address before preparing the PDF. Creating a quote under an account does not automatically populate these project fields. Choose Edit Address, enter the site contact and address, and save. Add additional contact can record a project manager, supervisor or designer.
In the Quote row, choose the intended template and use Preview to inspect actual PDF pages: drawing scale, page breaks, prices, notes, tax, total and terms. Download saves the generated document. A separate Contract row and Quote is contract setting determine the signing document workflow.
11. Distinguish saving, sending and publishing
Saving a draft does not email the customer. Send to Customer first asks you to review the recipient and select a quote PDF template, with an optional contract template for later. Confirm & Send continues the sending action; Cancel leaves without sending. Get Link belongs to its Quote or Contract row. Shared quote portals hold a published revision in every shop. Save and review edits, then use Update Portals to publish them directly.
12. Convert approved work to a job
Use Convert to Job when the work is ready. Review the event-template choice: a template can prepare the shop’s usual events, while No events omits those generated events. Conversion creates the job and changes the quote workflow status; it does not record a customer signature or payment.
13. Find work and information on the job
Use the job’s jump links to reach Job Info, phases, events, drawings, files and quote summary. Events hold scheduling, duration, assignees and status; select the correct phase and event before editing. Trackers summarizes progress, and its settings can customize the cards for the job or shop.
Invoice starts billing; Take Payment appears when an invoice has an outstanding balance. An uninvoiced job does not show it. Share manages customer access. Follow your shop’s accounting and portal procedures. Use header search to find the work again, and Help & Tutorials for related guides.
Check the result
- Your company details and price list are correct on the saved practice quote.
- The PDF contains the content you intended, and you know which action actually sends it.
