Countertop cutouts, seams and fabrication geometry

Fixture openings and slab seams affect both the appearance and fabrication plan. SlabOS records cutouts in the countertop drawing and supports seams that divide the work into pieces for layout. CAD and nesting pages explain the adjacent workflows: the same design must make sense as geometry and as material use.

Inputs this workflow uses

Countertop geometry, fixture opening dimensions and proposed seam positions.

Outputs to evaluate

Drawing pieces and slab layouts that reflect the chosen openings and seams.

A representative demonstration

Show a sink opening and seam on the drawing, then identify the resulting pieces in the slab layout.

Bring a representative job to a SlabOS demo and see how this capability fits your shop’s work.

Scope and availability

Fixture model dimensions and final fabrication approval remain necessary. An unpriced opening is not necessarily absent from the geometry.
