Seams, edges and splash as geometry
Keep fabrication detail connected to quantities and material layout.
A seam, finished edge or splash affects more than how a drawing looks. It can change the pieces being fabricated, the length of edge work, material use and the customer’s expectation. SlabOS documents drawing controls and separate price-list rules for these kinds of work.
Review the physical geometry and commercial rules together. A splash height describes the part while the selected pricing rule determines its charge. A cutout is distinct from a supplied sink or faucet, and an appliance edge is distinct from a cooktop opening. Treating these as separate choices makes the quote easier to inspect and explain.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: Countertop geometry, fixture opening dimensions and proposed seam positions.
Outputs: Drawing pieces and slab layouts that reflect the chosen openings and seams.
Show a sink opening and seam on the drawing, then identify the resulting pieces in the slab layout.
Scope to understand
A text note alone does not establish that a geometric or priced feature was applied. Check the drawing and the resulting quote lines.
