SlabOS documents an import workflow for vendor files that extracts catalog information into a review table. The process is useful when a supplier changes colors, thicknesses or costs: the operator starts from extracted rows and checks them before applying the update.
Extraction is only one part of maintaining a usable price list. Confirm the target material, units, slab size and pricing meaning first. A vendor cost should not become a retail selling price by accident. Existing colors missing from the new file also need an explicit decision; keeping, flagging and removing them have different consequences for the catalog.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: Materials, colors, thicknesses, pricing levels, fabrication charges and permitted supplier files.
Outputs: A maintained catalog and quote lines based on the selected geometry and pricing context.
Use one sample drawing to compare two customer price levels, then show a reviewed vendor update and the resulting quote.
Scope to understand
The review step remains essential. No row-level extraction accuracy percentage is established by the existence of the import feature.
