Margin predictions from comparable jobs
Inspect the range and the historical jobs behind it.
The inspected SlabOS quote component presents an owner-facing margin prediction with a range, median, sample size, confidence label and similar past jobs. It also supports material-option views so different selections can draw on different comparable history.
A prediction is only as useful as its cost inputs and comparison population. Missing cost records, unusual geometry or a materially different job can weaken the comparison. The documented costing workflow helps explain those inputs, while the prediction needs its own methodology and sample-quality explanation.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: Labor rates, work records, equipment and vehicle costs, overhead and recurring expenses.
Outputs: Cost inputs that support job analysis and comparison with quoted amounts.
Present one synthetic job's material, labor and overhead assumptions alongside its quoted and actual totals.
Scope to understand
A historical range and an interface confidence label are not measured future accuracy or reconciled accounting profit.
