From Slabsmith scanner to SlabOS layout
Follow one slab from its Slabsmith scanner image through SlabBridge (Early Access) into a SlabOS slab record with its photo, onto a layout, and back: a rack move synced to Slabsmith.

Scanned once. Why type it in twice? A Slabsmith scanner image of a slab is shown being scanned.
SlabBridge (Early Access). Slabsmith, SlabBridge and SlabOS are shown as three connected nodes. SlabBridge runs as a Slabsmith Windows service at your shop. The slab's photo and slab record travel from Slabsmith through SlabBridge into SlabOS.
One slab record. The slab arrives in SlabOS with its photo and identity: serial SS-10482; 126 by 63 inches, 3 cm; quartzite, polished; rack A2, available; photo from the scanner image.
Use it in a layout. From inventory: three pieces are placed on the scanned slab - 96 by 25.5 inches (with a sink cut-out), 72 by 25.5 inches and 40 by 25.5 inches. Three pieces, one slab. On hold for this quote.
Back to Slabsmith. Location / rack: A2 to C4. The slab moves from bay A2 to bay C4 and the location change is synced to Slabsmith. Source version checked. Read-back matches. Early Access.

A Windows service built by SlabOS
SlabBridge runs on a shop Windows computer and connects local sources with the shop’s SlabOS account. The service handles ongoing synchronization in the background, so the connection is part of the operating environment instead of another manual transfer for the office to remember.
Slabsmith inventory, connected in both directions
Slabsmith slab records and photographs can become inventory in SlabOS, ready to contribute to quoting, nesting and warehouse tracking. SlabBridge also includes a return path for supported inventory creates and updates. That gives the shop a connected workflow around the same material instead of treating the source inventory as a one-time import.
Two-way operations use the configured source and enabled field mappings. Setup establishes the supported record types and update direction for the shop; the Windows service records the result of the enabled operation.
Horus scanner imagery, on your slabs
Bring Horus scanner imagery into the slab images your team uses in SlabOS. The digitized stone stays connected to its material record, giving estimators, planners and the shop a visual reference for the slab they are working with. SlabBridge connects that shop-side imaging workflow through SlabOS’s own Windows service.

SlabBridge: the live Windows service
SlabBridge is the SlabOS Windows service on the shop PC, listening to Slabsmith every second. Pair it once and it starts with Windows, picks up every change live and brings new and updated slabs into SlabOS with their photos. Read-only by default, credentials encrypted on the PC, outbound only. Early access.

Re-typing slabs? A slab in Slabsmith shows rack B-04. Next to it, the same slab in SlabOS is an empty outline, and a cursor types the rack in by hand. Let SlabOS listen.
Listening. A glowing shop PC tower stands in the dark, its fan turning and sonar rings pulsing across the floor around it. A Windows service on the shop PC. No window to keep open. A Windows Services row slides in: name SlabOS SlabBridge, status Running, startup type Automatic.

Change it in Slabsmith. The Slabsmith slab's rack changes from B-04 to C-11, and in a blink a light packet zips through the small tower in the middle to SlabOS. SlabOS picks it up. The SlabOS slab fills in with its photo and shows rack C-11 at once. Rack, status, size, photo. The service keeps sending out a ring every second.
Built for the shop PC. Four checks appear beside the tower while a beam runs out of its top: read-only by default; credentials encrypted on your PC; outbound only, no open ports; deleted slabs reconcile.
