Slab labels, QR codes, barcodes and RFID
Give each physical piece a record the floor can find.
SlabOS labels connect physical stock to an individual inventory record. The operating guides cover label design/printing and scanning workflows, while the product description also includes RFID. The serial number and stored slab identity are what make a scan useful after a slab has moved or become a remnant.
A label workflow spans software, printer, media and reader. A preview establishes the intended content, but a physical print and successful scan establish that the dimensions, contrast and encoded value work on the shop’s hardware. Keep inventory labels separate from the beta piece-label workflow used for fabrication parts.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: An inventory identity, label content, physical stock and supported scanning or printing equipment.
Outputs: A readable tag and a corresponding inventory record or location action.
Show a sample slab label being scanned and the matching identity, material and location in SlabOS.

RFID and printer compatibility require device-specific testing. The inspected implementation does not substitute for an observed hardware result.
