People, certifications, equipment and shop records
Put the document on the person, machine or incident it belongs to.
SlabOS’s HR page describes four registers: people, equipment, incidents and company compliance documents. Employee records can hold documents and certification expiry dates; equipment records hold maintenance history and scheduled upkeep. Files remain attached to the relevant record.
This organization helps the shop retrieve a certificate, service report or incident attachment without relying on an unrelated folder. Access deserves equal attention: the HR product page describes owner-level gating, while user, employee and crew identities have separate roles in the broader application.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: Office users, employee records, crew membership and intended responsibilities.
Outputs: A team connected to assignments, with access appropriate to each role.
