Countertop DXF export for fabrication handoffs
SlabOS exports countertop drawing geometry as DXF for a downstream fabrication workflow. The export transfers reviewed shapes and drawing details; the shop’s CAM software, machine configuration and acceptance checks determine how that geometry becomes executable cutting work.

SlabOS includes a CAD/DXF workflow for moving countertop geometry into downstream fabrication work. A useful export preserves the intended outlines and openings in the correct units so the next operator can inspect them in the target environment.
The handoff has several stages: drawing, exchange file, target-software import and machine preparation. A valid DXF is not the same artifact as a machine-specific toolpath. Documenting those stages helps a shop evaluate compatibility with its own CAD/CAM version and fabrication equipment without assuming every machine accepts the same preparation.
Inputs, outputs and an example to evaluate
Inputs: Measured geometry, permitted DXF files and project context.
Outputs: Editable CAD drawings, saved revisions and checked shop output.
Bring a dimensioned sample drawing through import, editing and output, comparing scale and a known reference length.
Scope to understand
No universal CNC compatibility or machine-ready CAM result is established here. Machine/vendor-specific acceptance needs a recorded test.
