The queue.
On the wall.

Put today’s activity queue where the shop can see it. Choose the fields shown on a Shop Floor TV view, and let the display reflect the work recorded through the foreman’s workflow.

Put the shop-floor queue on a display

Name a Shop Floor TV view, choose what each card shows, and the wall shows today's queue by activity type, with no dollar figures; mark a job complete on the Foreman Tablet and the TV picks it up on its 60-second refresh.

SlabOS — The shop-floor queue on the big screen (29 seconds, no voice-over; all information is on screen)

What's next? The crew walks to the office to ask.

One view per screen. In Settings, Templates, Displays, a Shop Floor TV view is named Fab Bay TV and set to Today. Card shows: Account, Job number, Time and Status are switched on; Notes stays off. Save Displays. On the TV: pick a view, Fab Bay TV.

The queue, on the wall. The shop floor TV for Fab Bay TV shows 10:24 AM and today's work, one column per activity type.

Fabrication, 2 jobs: 412 Maple St, job 26432, 8:00 AM, In Progress. Elm Court, job 26418, 1:00 PM, Scheduled.

The wall catches up. The TV auto-refreshes every 60 seconds. At 10:25 AM the 412 Maple St card changes from In Progress to Completed.

Nobody touched the TV. 412 Maple St, Fabrication, Completed.

Choose the view

One view for this screen.

Settings → Templates → Displays lets the office name and configure the Shop Floor TV view. The walkthrough creates a Fab Bay TV view for Today and chooses account, job number, time and status. Notes remain off in that example. Select the saved view on the display rather than trying to make one screen serve every audience.

  • Name the view for its station.
  • Choose the date scope and visible fields.
  • Keep only what the people at that screen need.

Read the activity queue

CNC here. Fabrication there.

The display organizes work into activity-type columns. A scheduled activity and an in-progress activity can sit in the same queue with their own times and statuses visible. The example shows fabrication and CNC work, giving the team a shared place to check the next job.

  • Job identity keeps similar project names apart.
  • Time and status describe the recorded activity.
  • The queue is useful alongside the broader staging board.

Record the completion

The foreman updates the work.

On the Foreman Tablet, open the activity and mark it complete. The demonstration then shows the TV refreshing and reflecting that completed status. The person on the floor records the work once; nobody needs to edit the wall display separately.

  • Use the activity’s completion action.
  • The demonstrated TV refresh interval is 60 seconds.
  • The display reflects recorded completion; it does not infer it from elapsed time.

Keep the audience in mind

Useful from across the bay.

A shop-floor view should prioritize legible operational information. The supplied example shows no prices on the wall. Review the chosen fields and access for each installation, and keep detailed job work in the appropriate office or foreman interface.

  • Show the fields that serve the station.
  • Use a separate view for a different role.
  • Review the job when the short card needs more context.

Shop-Floor Displays questions

Do I mark an activity complete on the TV?

The demonstrated workflow marks it complete through the Foreman Tablet. The TV then reflects that change on refresh.

Is the TV queue the staging board?

No. The TV shows selected activities for its view. Staging shows production progress and readiness across jobs or phases.
